Rio will host four editions of Soccerex - Rio sediará quatro edições da Soccerex

The 2014 World Cup and the Olympics in 2016 have begun to bring strong winds to Rio de Janeiro. The capital of Rio de Janeiro was chosen to host the next four editions of Soccerex, the largest trade fair of the football world, organized by London-based Global Sport Management.

With 15 years of tradition, the event happens the first time in Brazil between the 20th and November 24th. The organizers will keep the same logic as previous editions, bringing the fair to the country hosting the World Cup - South Africa hosted the event between 2007 and 2009.

The event was first held in England in the Wembley Stadium in 1997. Com tradição de 15 anos, o evento acontece pela primeira vez no Brasil entre os dias 20 e 24 de novembro. Os organizadores manterão a mesma lógica das edições anteriores, levando a feira ao país que organiza a Copa do Mundo – a África do Sul sediou o evento entre 2007 e 2009.

A expectativa da organização é que mais de 3,5 mil delegados e 300 empresas expositoras de todo o mundo participem da edição deste ano, que acontece no Forte de Copacabana. As únicas duas edições canceladas foram as de 2001 por causa dos atentados em Nova York e em 2003 por conta da Guerra no Iraque, ocasiões em que Dubai era a sede fixa. Segundo Ravie, mais de 14,5 mil executivos de 126 países já passaram pela feira desde seu lançamento.
